I get asked all the time about tablets and e-readers — “Which one should I buy?” they ask. To answer properly, I always need to ask questions about their preferences and needs. For instance, do you want it just for reading or do you want to get email, watch movies and play games on it? Do you already own an iPhone and therefore a lot of Apple apps? Do you want an Amazon Prime membership? Are you a member of Barnes and Noble’s loyalty program? Do you want to read in bed? So many questions — the list can go on and on until we narrow the choices down.

But once we narrow it down, the choice becomes clear for them. Whether it’s a Kindle Paperwhite, a Kindle Fire HD, a Nook Glow, a Nook HD, a Nexus 7 or an iPad, we’ve gone through the necessary vetting process to determine what’s best for that individual. Then the decision feels right and there’s no buyer’s remorse.

Here’s a link to an article which also discusses much of this plus a lot more, in case you’re interested in researching it further:

Whatever your decision, I hope you’re happy with the result.

P.S. I also wanted to let you know about a podcast radio show I do with my business partner called “Up To Speed In Digital Media News with Quinn & TJ” — check out this link for further information and past broadcasts:
